Sandra Wilcoxon's and Margot McMahon's paintings portray symbiotic relationships that encourage the resilience of coral and lichen. Lichen and coral—seemingly worlds apart—share a vital connection: both depend on a symbiotic relationship with algae to survive. Lichens thrive in harsh environments on land, while corals form the vibrant, life-giving ecosystems of the ocean. Yet both are endangered by the same forces: climate change, carbon emissions, habitat destruction, and human activity.
April 23rd, 5pm-7pm. $55 per person.
Join artist, Selinger Gonzo, for a creative experience exploring the art of eco-printing! In this two-hour workshop, you will be guided in a step-by-step process on how to prepare your fabric, select and arrange plant materials, and print nature’s beauty onto fabric. You’ll leave with your own unique printed pair of organic, cotton socks, a detailed pdf guide, and the skills to continue your eco-printing journey at home. All materials are included in the class price. This workshop offers an enjoyable and meditative, creative experience. No prior experience necessary.
April 26th, 4pm-6pm. $35 per person.
